I spent the summer of ’15 working as a design editor/illustrator in the nationally acclaimed newsroom of the Oregon Daily Emerald. My responsibilities included designing the layout of every issue on InDesign, and executing using the given photos and stories. I also illustrated multiple covers, which was refreshing to see in the hands of students around Eugene. Basically, InDesign and coffee became my best friends, and I learned to work under the pressure of a no-excuses deadline.
